We’re excited to announce a special preview of the new Camfrog Cloud Bot service!

cloudbotCamfrog Cloud Bot is compatible with any room hosted on the Camfrog Distributed Server platform, and runs in the cloud – This means there’s absolutely no software that you have to download or setup!

Another great advantage of Camfrog Cloud bot, is because it’s attached directly to your room, it won’t ever leave the room when you shut your computer down!

Currently, this is just a technical preview, however we are so excited, we wanted to share with anyone who wants to give it a try! Here’s how you can get started:

First, you must have a room from a Camfrog Distributed Server hosting provider. If you don’t already have one, you can start a room on Camfrog’s own special hosting service.

If you’ve already got a room on a hosting provider, then you can simply head over to the Bot Manager site: https://www.camfrog.com/bot

Here you can sign on your existing bot username – You’ll just need the nickname, password, and your regular Camfrog Bot serial code. If you don’t already have a super cool bot name, that’s ok, you can register one on that page as well!

Once you login to the Bot Manager, you’ll see you can enter the room name, and also your “Room Access Key”

To get your Room Access Key, you must login to your ROOM HOSTING panel (for Camfrog hosting, it’s HERE) then in the room Setting, click on the “Room Access” tab. Here you can now set your own Cloud Bot access key.

Since you use your own Room Access Key, your bot will now be able to join your room. You don’t even have to worry about adding it to the oplist in your room, it will automatically have all operator privileges.

We’d love to hear your feedback on this, but please remember, this is still just a preview, and we’re constantly working on adding more features to it! Let us know what you think by sending us an email – Be sure to include the Camfrog Bot nickname you use, along with any feedback to cds-support@camfrog.com
